Looking Young

by Jen Hopkins

Hundreds of women out there spend hundreds or thousands of dollars for plastic surgery, and drown themselves in creams that don't work. You can do this too however, the reality is this does not stop the aging process. Gravity still exists, and your skin will be continued to be pulled, dragging it unnaturally, creating an unpleasant look.

Aside from the sun and other oxidants, another enemy of the skin is gravity. This pulls the skin, making it look unnaturally pleasant and sagging. Since this is a regular occurrence, many take advantage of this ordeal as well as medical technologies. This may be presented as a requirement if you wish to have the skin you used to have ten years ago. However, recent studies now show an alternative to this, revitalizing the skin and making it as strong as before.

Reaching the age of 55 is probably one of the milestones of the skin. At this age, the skin would have already stretched to as much as half an inch. This is caused by the atrophy of muscles and gravity. Muscles are then softened and loosened. As with any other muscles, exercise can help it return to its natural healthy state.

In order to look young, one can consider a cheaper and more practical way as an alternative. It does not necessarily need to be expensive. Facial exercises that use resistance and isometric contractions of facial muscles by thumbs and fingers can be of help. Proper exercise and diet must also be strictly observed. Such practices can indeed rival results of most plastic surgery procedures.

To realize the most benefits or effectiveness of any program, it is best to take a picture of yourself, and be able to track your progress. You can schedule an interval for taking these pictures, maybe every end of the month, or every three weeks. You will not only notice the difference from your friends compliments, but you can also see for yourself, the kind of positive effects you see in your skin.
