Natural Skin Products and Home Remedies for Warts
A wart is a small, abnormal growth of cells that can appear almost anywhere on the body. Warts are quite common and contagious. This is largely due to the fact that they are caused by a viral infection that can easily spread from one person to another. Warts can disappear after a few months or few years, but they can also recur.
There are several types of warts that vary in size, shape and affected area. These types include: common warts, plantar warts (i.e. feet warts), flat warts, filiform warts, genital warts, mosaic warts and periungual warts. Most of these warts are caused by Type 1, 2, and 3 HP viruses.
Luckily, treatment options are generally the same for all cases, however, the most common and effective treatment for wart removal is salicylic acid which can take up to 3 months to remove a wart.
Another type of treatment that is often used to help remove warts is cryosurgery. This type of treatment should take about three sessions to remove a common wart, however, up to a dozen session will be required if you want to remove foot warts.
Electrodissection is another viable way of removing a wart. This type of procedure uses a heated, metal probe to remove the abnormal growth. Another type of procedure used to help remove warts is called surgical curettage or scraping.
Some natural skin products and home remedies can also help you eliminate warts in a gentler manner.
Apply fresh Aloe vera juice directly to the wart. This product will not only help dissolve warts, but it will also help tone up the skin.
You can also dissolve warts gently by using foods that contain proteolytic enzymes. This includes foods such as papyas, banana peels, pineapples and figs. Application is quite simple. All you need to do is mash up the fruit or the peel and apply it to the area. Once you have applied the paste, use a bandage to protect the area and allow it to do its job.
Warts can also be treated using weeds. One weed in particular is milkweed which has often been used to remove warts. The fresh sap is applied directly to the wart once, every day. This is possible because the sap is non-irritating and won't harm the surrounding skin.
Changing your diet can also have an impact on your warts. By eating more asparagus, citrus fruits, eggs, garlic and onions, you will increase the amount of sulfur in your diet. This helps reduce the appearance of warts.
Do, however, keep in mind that most wart treatments are lengthy, so you need to be patient and consistent. Luckily, warts can be treated fairly easily, however, if they do recur you can still use a natural form of removal that we have yet to mention.
Warts treatments include the application of salicylic acid, cryotherapy, electrodissection, and an excellent skin care cream such as BIOSKINCARE. This natural product is capable of helping with warts removal. This is possible because BIOSKINCARE contains snail serum, a potent, natural ingredients known to help promote healthy skin regeneration and the dissolution of damaged and abnormal tissue.
